​ ​ ​Making Space-Works As a contractor, he was initially recruited for the Ascent Abort-2 (AA-2) Test Data Acquisition System project. Following the successful completion of AA-2, he transitioned to the SOFIA (Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy) program... For Orion’s AA-2 Test Data Acquisition System at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC), he was responsible for building data acquisition components, network infrastructure, electrical sensors, and harnesses. His work also included developing voltage dividers and various electronic instrumentation parts. This project culminated in the successful AA-2 flight test launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida... During his tenure with the SOFIA program at NASA AFRC, he contributed to several avionics system upgrades and modifications. His technical contributions included work on flight test instrumentation and telescope environmental control systems. SOFIA was a high-profile international collaboration between NASA and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) dedicated to astronomical research. Although the program has since concluded, the aircraft remains preserved and on display at the Pima Air & Space Museum.
